Children Playing Cat's Cradle

In "Toys and Games from the Past, and still enjoyed today" by George Rice, he writes that Cat's Cradle is believed to have traavelled from Asia to Europe with the tea trade in the early seventeenth century. History reveals that children in England played Cat's Cradle as early as 1782. In Colonial America, Cat's Cradle was among the earliest and most popular of all string games. It was even very popular with the native folks of that time.
