Historic Pea Shooter Gun from
Collection of Cyril Hobbins England
In "Games of the North American Indians", as indicated below there is evidence also of the existence of a type of bean shooter. We do not have any indication of dates of use, etc., and will not dwell on it here as it is also very new for our site. The historic gun in the photo is very close to one referenced to have been used by the (Reference,)Hopi Indians.
Bean Shooter, Zuni New Mexico

"There is evidence in "Games of the North American Indians" that pop guns were used by the natives, around the very late 1890's. However, since we at Faire Tyme consider this too modern for our web site we will not dwell on this subject.
